Supported by our incredible partners – ALDA (European Association for Local Democracy), People in Need, elbarlament, the European Commission, and the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD). Project ACE is a bold step toward building a more informed, engaged, and active generation of civic leaders. Over the coming months, Project ACE will empower youth leaders, grassroots organizers, and community actors through a combination of: Capacity-building workshops and digital advocacy training Civic leadership mentoring and expert-led sessions Digital tools for transparency and community engagement Localized step-down programs across underserved communities Civic innovation labs and solution co-creation sessions At the heart of Project ACE is a mission to equip young Nigerians with the skills, confidence, and platforms to drive change, hold leaders accountable, and champion democratic values in their communities. As part of the launch, we have also introduced new resources such as the Digital Civic Engagement Toolkit and are onboarding 20 ACE Fellows who will lead local initiatives, mobilize citizens, and amplify civic awareness nationwide. This year, we are placing a bold spotlight on an urgent issue Digital Gender-Based Violence (DGBV), also known as Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV). As online spaces become central to how we learn, connect, and work, women and girls continue to face growing digital threats ranging from cyberstalking and online harassment to AI-generated deepfakes. These forms of violence not only silence women online but also impact their safety, mental well-being, and participation in society. iLEAD AFRICA is committed to changing this reality by empowering young people with the tools and support needed to drive meaningful digital advocacy.
